How do I use stickers? What can I make with stickers?

Color Riot has a huge collection of stickers in our store, but this question always pops up: How would I use all of these stickers? For some people, sparkling sticker joy courses through our veins. For others, this can be tricky. Here are 5 top uses for your stickers.

  1. Hoard them like you're a sticker dragon. Responsibly though, okay? Grab a cute sticker collector album and throw all of your goodies in there! A good size sticker book can hold a lot of your large vinyl stickers, or tons of smaller ones! Check out the space album, retro rainbow album, or the Unused Sticker Book. *A little hint- something I do is give a color to each side of the paper, and from there I add stickers of said color. It can be a great way to organize your sticker book. Photo credit: Pipsticks

2. As my kid would say- make happy mail! Stickers are great for mail. Whether you're decorating your note, including them as a little surprise, or making that envelope stand out, there are so many opportunities available to add some pizzaz to your mail and surprise some recipients. We thoroughly follow this advice at Color Riot with all of our packages! (She would also like to add that stickers are a great way to seal your envelopes.) Photo credit: Stickii. So many mail options in the shop! Try the above, these labels, vintage-style holo post workers, and this vinyl. Bonus: Sticker postcards!

3. You guessed it! Cups, water bottles, mugs, computers, etc. Great for your stash of vinyl stickers, this is a great way to see them all the time. *Other notable mentions include the fridge, the hard-sided cooler, your car, but please not your dog. Important disclaimer- please look for exact directions from your sticker manufacturer, the above apply only to Turtles Soup stickers (photo credit, Turtle's Soup). Our faaaavorites? Absolutely this one, a must-have here, Turtle's Soup fav, and this one right here.

4. Add your stickers to your art journal, junk journal, scrapbook, or journal. Maybe you have a theme in mind, or a color palette, or even an entire scene. I journal long-form, but I love tiny micro stickers for the edges. 5. Calendars! Planners! My favorite category- mini stickers! We're all wondering how to use the adorable (but overwhelming) mini stickers we see. I love using them on calendars and planners. There are amazing, gorgeous planners that you can find all over Pinterest or Instagram, but in my deeply analog life, I use a jumbo size monthly calendar for the family, and a portable monthly layout for me. My planner is not pretty for a picture, but smaller-size stickers work wonders for a holiday, appointment, etc. If you need all of the planner stickers, border stickers, kawaii micro, these cute bears pictured above, and any of our Pipsticks mini stickers.

I hope you found some inspiration! Check back later for a future post about stickers with kids!
